When you join our waitlist, we collect the following information:

  • Full name
  • Work email address
  • Business domain (e.g. yourcompany.com.au)
  • Industry type
  • Your marketing preferences (whether you opt in to receive blog and educational content from us)

When our scanner launches, we will also store the domain names submitted for scanning and the results of those scans, linked to your account where applicable.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Notify you when CipherSoc launches (all waitlist members)
  • Send you blog articles and educational content about email security and Australian compliance (only if you opted in)
  • Provide and improve the CipherSoc scanning service
  • Communicate with you about your account and scan results
  • Meet our obligations under Australian law

4. How we store your information

Your information is stored securely on servers located in Australia or with Australian-compliant cloud providers. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. 5. Marketing communications

We will only send you marketing or educational emails if you explicitly opted in when joining our waitlist. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Launch notifications are sent to all waitlist members regardless of marketing preference, as they relate directly to the service you signed up for. You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe or emailing [email protected].

6. Disclosure of your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating CipherSoc, including email delivery and database hosting providers, strictly for the purpose of delivering our service. All third-party providers are required to handle your information in accordance with Australian privacy law.

7. The Notifiable Data Breaches scheme

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose data we hold, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email where the changes are material. Continued use of CipherSoc after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
